Full-size Preview
Instructions:
o1. Go to the Select Journal Style
page and choose Transmogrified (any of them, shouldn't matter which). Choose 1 Column (no sidebar) for the page setup.
o2. On the Customize Style page, make sure in the Modules section, Navigation is the only thing in Header and anything else goes in Sidebar, pretty much, though you can also put modules in the footer if you want (they'll show up in the black bar at the bottom).
o3. In the Customize CSS section uncheck "Use layout's stylesheet(s)" and paste the code in the Use embedded CSS box and hit Save Changes.

Date: 2011-12-20 08:07 pm (UTC)I use Ubuntu Linux and Chromium, if that makes any difference, although it shouldn't. Could you give me any advice on how to fix it?

Date: 2011-12-21 03:42 am (UTC)If you want to fix it for when you don't have a userpic showing on the layout, you'll just need to change this block
.entry .footer {
text-align: right;
margin-right: -8.5em;
margin-top: 1.5em;
}
to this
.entry .footer {
text-align: right;
margin-top: 1.5em;
}
and that should do it.

Date: 2011-12-24 04:03 am (UTC)I appear to have set up the community so that the modules are all hidden behind the community content.

Try changing it to
And then if you don't want the modules at the top, in the customization area, change to "1 Column (modules at bottom; no sidebar)" instead of "1 Column (modules at top and bottom; no sidebar)" and that should do it I think?

Date: 2012-01-02 03:31 pm (UTC)See here, the bolded links look pixelated and the text just looks... stilted and narrow compared to your Preview pic. I tried to change the fonts (like remove the Arial Narrow) but didn't seem to help. I've doublechecked on Firefox 9.0.1, Chrome 16.0.9.. and get the same result. I'm on works computer though, with XP, but that shouldn't be an issue. Screen res: 1680*1050 or 1280*1024 (since I've two stationary computers at my desk - don't ask /0\).
My fonts http://www.dreamwidth.org/customize/options?group=fonts options are set as default.
And yes, I did check the Zoom option in my browser ;) twice, to be on the safe side.

Date: 2012-01-02 05:55 pm (UTC)I also realise tinypic makes a bit of a shite place to upload a pic to when talking about the small details as it pixelates itself >:/
Nevermind then, I shouldn't be on DW at work anyway ;)
